Small pours, quiet rooms.
Ember & Wick began in a small kitchen in the Hudson Valley — two friends, a secondhand pouring pitcher, and a stubborn belief that most candles were trying too hard. Too sweet, too loud, too fast. We wanted something quieter. Something that felt less like a product and more like a room.
The way we pour.
Every candle is poured by hand, in batches of no more than forty. We use 100% American-grown soy wax — nothing paraffin, nothing synthetic beyond the fragrance itself. Cotton wicks. Recycled amber glass. Kraft packaging with no plastic, ever.
It takes us longer this way. That's the point.
What we believe.
A candle should fit the room, not fill it.
We build scents that recede — that you notice when you stop noticing anything else.
Craft over volume.
Small batches mean we can taste-test every pour, adjust every wick, and stand behind every candle we ship.
The vessel matters too.
Our amber glass is meant to outlive the candle. Wash it out, keep it, use it — that's the goal.
